Occasionally I have a stall at local craft fairs around the South West selling various combinations of my own work, and textile supplies: I began selling ethically traded buttons, and recycled sari yarns whilst renting a studio at ‘Duchy Square’ in Princetown [now closed].
The ceramic buttons, handmade by Incomparable in South Africa, are fairly-traded and were previously imported by Injabulo. With my husband Jerry, in 2011 we took on the wholesale side of this business – now known as Zimame Trading Co. I therefore divide my working time between Z T Co and my own craft business.
[You may have picked up my business card or bought buttons from me at a local event. If you would like to buy more buttons you will find some of our stockists listed on our wholesale site at www.zimame.com - including some online retailers.]
[You can also read more about the buttons and other products and the producers there too].
However, if you have difficulty finding a retailer, please feel free to contact me by email via this website.
Every Autumn I attend the following events:
WOOLLY WEEKEND at Kelly House Lifton in October. 2017 dates are Sat and Sun 14th and 15th October.
3 BAGS FULL in Liskeard – 2017′s date is Friday 6th Oct.
I have also recently attended PROPER WOOLLY in Holsworthy, and STITCH ST IVES [in St Ives!]
Many of these have an emphasis on wool, so I sell hand dyed yarns, as well as my own ‘woolly’ products – such as woven scarves and little knitted purses.
