Current Projects

2020 saw most of the exhibitions and shows I planned to take part in cancelled. I have done some new weaving, but  I also took the opportunity to take some time out from it, and try new things. As a result I  joined the online stitch club organised by Textile Artist Org, and have enjoyed taking part in some of their online workshops with some very talented tutors.

With the amazing weather during our time in lockdown, and the ‘time out’ from work commitments I was able to enjoy more time in the garden – replanting our newly designed front garden with old and new ‘favourites’, and thinking about replanting the back one, once renovation work is finished.

At the end of 2021, with other family members we took on a very over grown allotment.  So alongside the fruit and veg, I plan to grow some dye plants, as I used to do when we had a larger garden. Happy days!

2023 …most of our house renovations are nearing completion and I hope to have my studio space back soon. I’ve had recent new opportunities to show my work in exhibitions and galleries, and am now ready to get back on with designing and developing my woven artworks, with more space to ‘spread my ideas’ (aka messy space)
